We have forward movement!!

It's official. As of last night, Gretchen is crawling. We knew it would happen soon and half expected it to happen when we were gone for Christmas, but last night she did it. For the past couple of weeks she has been getting really frustrated because she would try to move forward, but just push herself backward. Last night she figured it out and she is doing the army crawl. She's fast too. She can get up on her hands and knees really good and hardly wobbles. She tried to move her hand forward, but then chickens out. It won't be long though and she'll have that mastered too.

Christmas was great, too fast but great. We were in Thief River with my family and the kids had so much fun. I have been trying to pin point a high light for the kids, a moment, a gift, something, but they just loved it all. They have had so much fun all week playing with their new toys, reading their new books and Jaden has loved playing his new games. (I have too; you can only play Candyland and Chutes and Ladders so many times.) Our family is definitely outgrowing my parent's house though, but the cozier the better. It seems as if after having many years of having just enough sweets at Christmas, Grandma Evelyn has returned. There was so much sugar in the house we all nearly felt ill. To top it all off, Jaden had to bake a cake on Monday for Jesus' birthday. It's a tradition that he wanted to start last year and didn't forget this year. So, after sugar, sugar, BBQ ribs, sugar and more sugar, there will definitely need to be some working out going on at our house.

We have another busy weekend in store. Tonight we are going over to some friends, tomorrow night is Christmas with Bob's family and Sunday we are hosting a pre-New Year's Eve get together before we go off to meet with some more friends. It will be nice that there isn't anything going on Monday so we can rest a little.

Hope everyone is having a great Christmas week and we look forward to hearing from all of you!!
