I can't believe that it's December 11th and there isn't any snow. It's kind of nice. We haven't even had any snow that's lasted more than a couple of hours. It sure makes it easy to cart three kids around. I put the kids boots on them on Saturday when we brought them to Curt and Vicki's and then it ended up being 50 degrees...definitely not boot weather.

Our house is really dry and we wake up in the morning a little stuffy. We borrowed a humidifier from Curt and Vicki to see if that would help. Yesterday morning Jaden got up and I asked him how he nose was. He took a deep breath through his slightly stuffy nose and said, "It's very troubling." He amazes me.
The other day at lunch Rachel decided she was going to be an artist. She was eating hot dogs or something that needed ketchup. I looked up at her right as she took a big scoop of ketchup and painted her cheeks. She looked like she was putting on her war paint.
I think that reason that Gretchen is waking up at night is mostly due to the dryness of the house. Last night I got up with her every two hours and Bob got up with her 4 times...I didn't even hear him get up. Tonight I am going to feed her as full as I can get it and make sure that her room has lots of moisture in it. I WILL get some sleep.
One of these days I will get around to doing my Christmas letter. If I put it off long enough I can justify having to email it out to people. Yes, I am just making excuses. I have been working on a Christmas card though...what do you think?
