So we brought the kids to Minnetonka today to spend some time with Grammie and Grandpa. Tonight we had Bob's Christmas party for work and then tomorrow we are going to Iowa for the entire day. We head back home, change clothes and make a quick stop at Sears on our way out of town. We check out what we need to at Sears and go back out to the car. The car decided that it didn't really want to go to Bob's Christmas party tonight. It started, but quit. It will turn over, but won't start. I guess it was saving us from a night of corporate talk and everything that goes with that. So, thanks to a very good friend, we got picked up and brought back home. He and Bob and are going to bring the car back here and then we are going to need to get some food before I gnaw my own arm off. I purposely didn't eat much today because I knew we were going to have a big meal tonight and now....who knows. However, I may get the Chipotle that I have been craving so much.
The kids are still at Grammie and Grandpa's and still will be until we get back there some time very late tomorrow night. So after all of this car mess gets taken care of I guess it's date night for Bob and Mari...and quite possibly Michael and DeAnn too. That's fine by me...it will be much more fun and we will be able to get to bed much earlier since we have to be ready to go to Iowa by 7:15 tomorrow morning. 7:15...it's not even light outside, I'm not even out of bed at that time...who gets up at that time, let alone be up, showered and ready to go at that time. I think I'll sleep all the way to Iowa.
