Wednesday afternoon we packed up the car and headed east. After 8 hours, we were in Racine. The kids did pretty good; actually better than I expected. It was a quick trip, but we had fun. We got to Heidi and Amos' house about midnight and sat up and talked for a few hours. Thursday morning Heidi made everyone breakfast and then the festivities began. The kids had so much fun playing with Xena. She is so good with them. After lots of turkey and other fixings, Uno Attack and Apples to Apples we decided it was time to head home. So we packed up the car again, loaded the kids in and left at about 8:30. There was more traffic than I expected. I guess everyone had to go back to work on Friday. We rolled in about 2:30, literally dumped everything right inside the door, put the kids in their beds and went to bed ourselves. I have no idea what time Bob got up for work, but it was early. Hopefully he'll get a short day today and can come home and take a nap.
