We had Luke's 2 month well baby visit today...at little late, but that's what happens when your doctor wants to take vacation for Thanksgiving. He is doing great and bigger than I expected. He is 13 lbs 8 oz and 23 1/4 inches long. Everything looked great and he took his immunizations like a champ. (And he is taking a good nap today because of it.) I talked with his doctor about his tummy issues. I have been off dairy since he was two weeks old, but he was still having issues. It was really getting difficult for me since it was taking literally hours to put him to bed at night. Last Friday night we took him off breast milk completely to see if that was the issue. I kept pumping in hopes that it wasn't the issue and I could start nursing again. Since Friday he has been on soy formula and seems to be doing well. After talking to his doctor we are going to go back to the breast milk. She thinks if it is my milk that's the problem he would scream all day instead of just at night. She suspects the problem to be gas bubbles in his tummy and maybe he's just taking in too much air. So, tomorrow we are going to try some ideas from her and see if that helps. As far as his issue going to sleep at night, she thinks that he isn't getting good enough sleep during the day because of his tummy and it is getting him overtired. We had tried a sling in order to keep him close to me so he'd feel better, but he hated it and so did I. So, we're trying something else and so far we both love it. It's called a Moby Wrap. It keeps him really close but I still have both of my hands so I can actually get something done during the day.

He'd only been in there a couple of minutes when I took the picture and he was already asleep. He's a little oven though and I do get quite warm...a price I'll pay for a happy baby! :)
Gretchen and Rachel have been playing house a lot lately...it's really cute. One of them is always the mom and it is starting to confuse me. I keep hearing them call, "mother" or "momma" and I think they're talking to me...but they keep correcting me that it's not me that they really want.
Jaden is back to school today after his long Thanksgiving break. It's nice to have him home more, but I think he was starting to get bored.
We had our first "get the guy" experience. Neither Bob, nor I are skilled (or have the desire) to do things around the house. Bob wants to just be able to "get the guy" to do whatever it is that we need done. Well, if anyone has seen our yard, it's a mess of leaves in the fall. We just dread raking it...in fact last year we only got the front done and ended up just mowing the back and letting it blow away. We kept putting it off this year...with the baby...Bob being in NY...it just never got done. Well, Friday morning, while we were all still in our pj's, our yard got done...and it looks great! (Thanks Dustin!) And it happened none too soon since we got a dusting of snow Sunday morning and I don't think this ones going anywhere.
Ok...off to be productive. Yes, I know...I haven't posted a picture of Jaden in a while...he's never around when I have the camera. We're going to try to decorate the tree in the next couple of days (it's been up since last Monday) and then I'll get some good pictures....I hope! :)

Hey, that's exactly what Evan weighed at his 2 month doctor visit. I hope you get the sleep/feeding issues resolved soon.

I'm so glad you are trying the Moby - I loved how it held my last baby - and wish I had it with the other 6 kids. And yes, it does keep you and him warm. I learned to wear short sleeve shirts (but they had to be long torso as the wrap tended to make the ride up) and put the baby in light clothes or just a onsie. I love the picture of you and him. oh, back baby fever, back.
And we have the 'which mama' problem here when the kid play too. Can't tell if they are really crying or faking sometimes.
