Back from a busy weekend

We had our annual weekend at the Kalahari resort in Wisconsin Dells this past weekend and it was definitely a lot of fun. The kids were actually really easy to watch in the water this year. The kids and I (and a babysitter) left Friday morning so get a head start and Bob left after work. It actually worked out that Bob had to stay late because we couldn't fit everyone and everything in the van. :0 We literally dumped our stuff in our room and changed for the water park. The water park is huge with lots of different things to do. I kept them in the smaller pool just for littler kids on Friday while Lauren (babysitter) held Luke. There are 8 slides in that area so the kids had lots of fun. Saturday we brought them into the other area of the park where the water is a little deeper...where it's much better to have two adults. The whole weekend went really well. Thankfully, after a little rearranging, we were able to get into the same room that we had last year, so we had plenty of room. Unfortunately, since we had all of the kids playing so much...we forgot to take any pictures. :(

Today marks a fresh start for Bob's and my health...we joined Lifetime Fitness. It's about time that we both start doing something. We stopped by today for a tour and to register. While we were on the tour we put the girls in the childcare center and they loved it. Unfortunately Luke can't be in there until he's 3 months old, so we've got a few more weeks until I can really start using it. We also have to convince Gretchen that it's a good thing. The childcare center is all one big area...but within it there is some distinction for age. There is an area for 2 and below and the bigger area for 3 and over. Well, that splits up the girls. This wouldn't necessarily be a problem except that there is a huge play system in there....at least 4 times bigger than the ones they have at McDonald's. And....Gretchen doesn't understand why she doesn't get to play at "McDonald's." Oh well, it's only until May and then they'll be together again. They also have a pool and offer swimming lessons, so starting in January Jaden will be taking lessons....finally.

As for everything else...we're doing well. Luke is getting bigger...I can't believe he's already growing out of clothes again. School is going well for Jaden. He still loves to go every morning. Gretchen is turning into a little girl....there's hardly no toddler left in her. Rachel still bringing so much joy to my life...and I love it. Bob is headed back to New York on the 7th...but only for a week this time. (Too bad I can't get Luke into the childcare center so I could have some time to myself while Bob's gone.)

We're spending Thanksgiving with the Rivers' this year...and all of the babies will be together for the first time. The house is definitely getting full...there will be 15 of us this year...and two dogs...unless Chloe decides that it may be too much for her. :) My parents are also coming down. My Grandma and Grandpa Hulteen wanted to come down for Thanksgiving, so they are coming down on Thursday and heading back home on Saturday. It will be a quick trip, but will be good to see them.

Ok...that's it for the catch up...my goal is to update a couple of times a week...maybe I just need someone to hold me to it. :)
