Jaden has been coming up with some pretty interesting questions and has really been making us think lately. He has spent quite a bit of time with friends this weekend, so he has been in his glory. Friday night they had a dance party which is about all he could talk about on Saturday. He loves music...dancing, playing instruments, whatever. The other day he told me that there were three things that he is going to be when he grows up, #1 a builder, #2 like his daddy and #3 a fireman. He is so cute...if you ask him about when he grows up, that is what he will tell you. He has also decided that we need to go to Hawaii, so I have been telling him about Matt and Alana's trip and the things that they did. He is very excited to go.

Rachel has decided that the only way to be is naked...wonder where she got that from. The unfortunate part is that she can take her clothes and diaper off by herself and I'll just find her in her room playing, naked. Sometimes she can't get her shirt off so it will be around her head like a veil. It's then very hard to get her to agree to put clothes on...and since she's not in charge and I tell her that she's getting dressed, tears usually ensue. Luckily she hasn't had any accidents on the floor yet without her diaper. Last night we had a babysitter and I forgot to tell her where we hide Rachel's nuks during the day. I think she put her to bed last night without one, so the end of the Nuk may have come. We'll see how tonight goes.

Gretchen is really becoming more and more independent. Sometimes she'll sit and play by herself for a really long time, which is nice for me because I can actually get things done. She does get into a lot of stuff though, so it's good that we are baby proofed. I know it's just a matter of time before she starts walking; she like her sister has no fear and I know she is just going to let go and take off one day. I'm not sure how I feel about that...it could be good or I could be in for trouble.

Bob and I are doing about the same...very busy. He asked me to put something on my calendar the other day, and I said..."when??" It seems like we hardly have a moment to sit. It's good though; we really enjoy it. He spent one day this week and will spend two days next week in St. Cloud for work, which I know bores him incredibly. The good thing is his work likes to have a lot of give aways at their trainings and this week he won $60 to Red Lobster, so I guess we're going out as a family so that should be fun. For Jaden's sake I hope they have chicken. :)
The kids spent the day at Grammie and Grandpa's on Thursday and had a ton of fun. I had Jaden's conference at preschool in the morning and Grandpa had all three kids by himself. I am very impressed by that...I don't know too many grandpa's that would be up to the challenge. :) I picked up Jaden in the afternoon and then he and I went to Afton Alps Ski Hill and went snow tubing. He had a blast. I had no idea that we would be going that fast and when we first got there I wasn't sure he would want to go down the hill more than once. It was really neat how they do it. You get your tubes and then you ride a people-mover up the hill. So, after probably a five minute ride up the hill, you hop in your tube and down you go. I held onto his tube so we both when down at the same time and I would bet we were going at least 30 miles an hour. He loved it. Unfortunately we got out there kind of late so we only were able to go down for about an hour. We will definitely go again next year.
