We did have a great time at the wedding. Unfortunately I forgot the camera and wasn't able to get any pictures of the kids. They were very cute...and danced the entire time. :)

And we'll try it again...
Once again we have a fish. Last night we went to our friend's (Dallas and RaeAnn) wedding. It was a really great day and the kids had a ton of fun at the dance. Dallas and RaeAnn sent us home with a Betta...they used them as center pieces. So, today we have a red
Betta named Elliott. Why Elliott you ask? Well, that's a funny story. Let me explain. The wedding was in New Prague. If anyone's been there, you know how dark 169 can be at night. Well, we left the dance after 10 o'clock and headed home. We were somewhere between New Prague and Jordan when all of a sudden a very unsuspecting deer decided to go out for an evening run. Apparently her mother hadn't told her to look both ways before crossing the street, or maybe she was listening to her iPod and not paying attention to where she was going...none-the-less, we hit her. Thankfully we are all fine, in fact, I'm not sure the kids even noticed that anything happened...they were a little engrossed in "A Bug's Life." My van didn't come out of the incident as unscathed as I would have liked. We will be meeting with an adjuster tomorrow and getting it fixed...hopefully it won't take very long...until it's fixed we don't have a vehicle that can transport our entire family without making more than one trip...and that doesn't work very well since none of the kids are old enough to leave them alo
ne. Thankfully we have a rental covered on our insurance...we'll just have to get that all worked out. Anyway...I digress...back to why the fish is named Elliott. Have you seen the movie "Open Season"? One of the main characters is a deer named Elliott. At the beginning of the movie he is hit by a truck and loses an antler. Anyway, after about ten minutes on the side of the road Jaden finally asked why we stopped. I told him we had hit a deer and we were waiting for Cory to come and bring some bungees so we could tie up the bumper and go home. Jaden asked, "So, did the deer fall down dead or did he just lose and antler?" So, in honor of the deer we named the fish Elliott. (On a side note, the first thing I thought of after we hit the deer was the fish. Funny first thought I know, but you see I was holding the fish in a very small bowl that was very full of water...we hit the deer, the water splashed all over...and I wondered if the fish was on the floor.) So, that was our Saturday night. :)
