Where is the time going?

I can't believe that it's already the 9th of June. Time has been going so fast lately. Today was Jaden's last day of kindergarten...I officially have a 1st grader. It doesn't seem possible. Did we just take him home from the hospital the other day? He had a fun field trip today to "a really big park." The got to bring lunch from home and just play all day...and ride that bus which he always loves. So I guess the next couple of days we will need to figure out some sort of summer schedule so that we actually do some fun outings.

Last night...didn't actually get it posted, but here it is...

Tonight has been the night from you know where. First of all I want to say that I love my 3yr old...she is incredibly sweet and loving, but she is going through some sort of phase. She isn't malicious, but has been wrecking things like crazy around here. First of all, just after dinner I was switching loads of laundry and Jaden yells down that Rachel just pooped all over my cream colored couch. (We've had the couch since before we had kids or we never would have a cream colored couch.) She is potty training and was wearing undies...and apparently had eaten too much fiber in the last couple days, because none of it stayed in her undies. So I spend the next who knows how long trying to get it cleaned out of the couch. I tried the carpet cleaner...didn't work, but decided that since I had it out I would clean the family room carpet because it needed it really badly. I put the kids in my bed with a movie and told them not to get out. I cleaned the carpet and went upstairs to get them in bed and I find both of my pairs of glasses on the floor. One pair had the nose piece broken off of it and one pair was missing a lens and the bow was totally bent where it shouldn't have been. I was livid. I have no idea how she even got them, but why did she have to break both pairs? Then I find the couch cushion that had poop all over it. I had taken the covering off to clean so there was just the cushion itself which had been covered in some white cushiony stuff. Well, she decided that it would be a lot of fun to pull all of the white stuff off of the cushion. I just don't know what to do with her!

I did find my missing lens and the bow didn't break off when I put it back in place so that pair is going to be fine. The pair with the broken nose piece is the pair that I rarely wear, so I guess that's good too. I'm hoping the rest of the poop is going to come out of the cushion...it's currently in the washing machine.

Update on the couch...everything thankfully came out in the wash and the couch has been saved for another day. The "destructive" Rachel is currently looking very cute. She has put on one of her church dresses (even though I told her they aren't for dress up) with a very flashy bracelet on each wrist and two mismatched princess glass slippers. Gretchen...AKA "the nudist" is running around in just her diaper. Good thing it's almost bedtime. (We finally switched to summer pj's last night....which I had been putting off since we could pin her in to her winter ones...and thankfully she was still wearing them when she got up this morning.

Hopefully I'll be able to post a few pics of the kids and maybe a couple from our trip to GA last week once I put the kids in bed. We had a blast by the way...the resort was beautiful!

As promised...here are some pictures.
