I always love long weekends. We get Bob home for an extra day and we almost always do something fun. This time was no different. Saturday our team had a picnic. Some friends (Jeff and Mary Beth) were graci

ous enough to offer up their house as the location. It was perfe

ct. I don't know if I'd call it a hobby farm, but you can't really call it a house either. It was the perfect place for kids. They have three dogs, three cats, a five week old kitten, three sheep, chickens, turkeys and peacocks. Not to mention the outdoor pizza oven that we made homemade pizzas in. The weather was perfect and it was a great day all around.
The kids played croquet and literally hours of hid and seek. Here is Rachel with a turkey feather that she found. She thought it was pretty cool. They also got to pick eggs and that was definitely a new experience for the

m. The pizzas were amazing. Jeff and Mary Beth made ho

memade dough and sauce and then everyone brought toppings. It was a really cool day.
Sunday we had Grammi & Grandpa, Barb, Dan and Julia over for a BBQ. It was fun to see Luke and Julia playing together.

It was even funnier when we watched Luke stealing the food off of Julia's dinner tray after he was done eating. I guess he was still hungry. :) After church on Sunday Jaden told me he had some work to do and he needed a tie. Apparently inventors have serious business they need to do an

d they need to dress the part. Here is how he spent his afternoon.
And this is how I found him when I checked on him to see if he needed a break. He did of course say, "hold on a minute, I need to pose."
