I can't believe that Jaden is almost done with first grade. Before I know it he'll be done. (June 11th is his last day.) It will be nice to not have to drive back and forth every day. I'm half thinking about putting him on the bus next year. We'll see. With Rachel in preschool next year I already feel like I'm going to live in the van. If he road the bus that would help a lot. I'm not sure how Bob feels about it...I'm not really sure how I feel about it.
Rachel is starting to read. She just did it one day. Her attention span isn't as long as Jaden's so she's not really excited to sit and read a book, but she is really excited once she's done it. She's also started practicing her letters. She is falling in love with workbooks just like Jaden did. I need to find some time every couple of days to sit down and work with her...just another thing to add to my already long list of things I would like to get done.
Gretchen is almost three...how did that happen? She has such a funny sense of humor...and she loves to snuggle...which I love! I really want to get her into a dance class this summer...she is so good at it. I can't believe the control she has over her body. We're also thinking of putting Rachel into gymnastics...and Jaden into whichever sport he picks...it changes from day to day. So far it's been soccer, baseball, golf and most recently tennis.
Luke is rolling everywhere. He gets so frustrated that he can't move to where he wants to go. He is trying to get his knees underneath him. He'll proabably be crawling at about the same time he sits up by himself. I guess it's time to get a gate for the top of the stairs.
The kids are all excited that Evie is coming to visit on Thursday. Gretchen has been talking about Evie for the past three weeks. I've told them that they need to get their rooms picked up and the playroom cleaned before she gets here so they can play...unfortunately that hasn't worked yet. :)
