It's Tuesday again...

The days seem to go so fast and the kids are growing up way too fast. Every time I turn around they are doing something new...I can't keep up.

Rachel's transition to her toddler bed is going ok. I'm not a big fan of toddler beds, I would much prefer her in a twin, but it will do for now. The only way we have been able to get her to go to bed at night is to not give her a nap during the day...which can make for a fun early evening when she is tired. We have also had to put the baby gate up in her doorway after she falls asleep so she doesn't come up to our bed. A few mornings ago...early, early morning...I woke up to her flopping a cold hamburger in my face that she had found in the fridge saying, "hungry." Of course she was...that girl can eat 24/7. She is finally getting her colors down, everything isn't blue and white anymore. Now it's purple and green. :)

Gretchen is really going. She is crawling like a maniac. She has also started standing on her own a little bit and has figured out how to crawl up the stairs. I'm not too happy about that one. We can't put a gate at the bottom of our stairs, so I'm not too sure what we're going to do about that one. She is going through this thing now where she doesn't want to be feed, but doesn't really like the texture of finger food, which means she has to get kind of mad...or really hungry, before she'll eat.

Jaden is Jaden...very funny. Yesterday he was looking for Gretchen's nuk for me. He came out of her room and said, "It's in her crib and I can't reach it because my arm's too short. You know, like your mom is too short. Your mom and my arm are just too short." That got a good laugh from Grandma Becky. It's a good thing she has a sense of humor. He is always coming up with funny things like that. Today Bob is picking him up from preschool and we are all going to McDonald's for lunch. He will be so excited. He has been asking every time we drive by a McDonald's for a long time.

So...I found the missing sippy cup. Remember the missing sippy cup? It was in the umbrella stroller in the garage. I started using the stroller when we bring Jaden to and from school so I don't have to carry both Rachel and Gretchen and there it was...with frozen chocolate milk in it. Yuck. Now we only have one missing one. Wonder where we'll find that one?

I am just itching to paint. First we are doing the kitchen. I already have the paint, just need to get a primer and then get it done. It will be closely followed my our bedroom and Rachel's bedroom. I am so sick of the lemon yellow I can't stand it anymore. The girl's and I went to the paint store this morning and got a couple more swatches to see what I like for our room. It needs to get done!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! :)
