It is officially 2009. I can't believe it. New Year's Eve was a lot of fun this year. We had a few friends over and played games...and ate of course. New Year's Day we had a great time hanging out with the Rivers' side of the family to celebrate Christmas. There's not too many chances anymore for us all to get together so it was a really nice day. Then on the 2nd we were together again at Bob's cousin's wedding. The kids had sooo much fun. They loved the dance and didn't want to go. For the first time ever, I actually saw a child go to bed with a smile on her face. The kids had all fallen asleep in the van on the way home. We were changing the girls into their pj's and they were barely awake. Gretchen opened her eyes for just a second and I asked her if she had a good time. She shook her head yes. I got her pj's on her and put her in bed and she had the biggest smile on her face. It was so cute. Last night we got together to with our friends Nick and Anna and were going to play Settler's of Catan, but little did I know that Northwestern Book store closes at six on Saturdays, so we played their Wii instead. I'm now hooked on Wii bowling. It was a lot of fun.
Well, that's it for today. Short and sweet. Bob has Jaden, Rachel and Gretchen with him at the gym and Luke is upstairs sleeping, so I think I'll enjoy my peace and quiet a bit longer!
